Control systems

Haarup control systems for concrete plants all consist of standard software whether the concrete plant is large or small. The software is thoroughly tried
and tested before installation at the customer's site.

In short, the software is built around a process control function that executes orders, weighs, transports and mixes materials for charges which are then transported to the required distribution point.

Unique about Haarup control systems are the particularly accurate weighing algorithms and the self-adjusting batching units.

The mechanical components of the concrete plant are controlled using a series of symbols on the operator's monitor.

The software is pre-tested, and all symbols are pre-defined.

This provides a number of unmatched advantages:

  • A Haarup control system can be started and commissioned extremely quickly. No unpleasant surprises.
  • Experience shows that even the first or second concrete charge is integrated directly in the production.
  • As all software is standard software, it can easily be updated to a newer version if needed.
  • By using standardized software without special adaptation, the customer (and Haarup) will not require the assistance of a programmer.
  • All electricians from Haarup can use standard software to immediately implement any updates or extensions when visiting any customer's plant.
  • Control systems are backwards compatible.

The software is modular. So you do not need to buy more than you actually need.

The following Windows-based software can be added to the control systems:

  • Data collection and processing programs
  • Ready-mix concrete programs
  • Programs for exporting data to external lab modules

These programs can be operated using a standard computer. In case of any problems with the computer, the concrete production can still continue as the control system itself can run independently of any connected computer-based programs.

The control cabinets are built in Austria by Baumgartner Automation, one of the most competent manufactures of control systems in Europe. All components are thoroughly tested quality components from companies such as Schneider, Pilz, Siemens etc. Nearly all control cabinets are built by Rittal.

At Haarup we have supplied control systems since the 1980s, and the systems are continuously being developed. We therefore guarantee all our customers a control system optimised for concrete production, and we include more than 40 years of experience in that price.
